Think For Yourself
We must learn to think for ourselves, and have original ideas. Not so original as to have no relation to reality, but original enough to be worthy to be called your own.
Where do ideas come from? Our experiences, of course. It appears that the more valuable ideas come from the deeper things in life, such as experience with the natural laws found in nature. Other ideas appear to be fueled by the more processed, downstream world of men's interpretations of reality.
It isn't hard to see the difference between the thoughts, words, and behaviors of someone that spends their time in nature, studies science, history and reality, and someone else whose worldview comes by listening to the voices on television and social media.
There is reality, then experimentation, then interpretation, then descriptions in books and media, and then interpretations of previous interpretations. And ultimately this leads to ideas about reality that are informed from sources so far removed from the original experiment, that they have no bearing on reality at all.
Those ideas are only useful in artificial, or academic worlds, where such philosophies are the norm, and opinions are taken for facts. But if you want truly useful, universally applicable ideas, they must be informed by the universal laws of nature, and rooted in the things that are most real, that last the longest, and that really matter.
If you want ideas that will last the burning at the last day, build your ideas on an eternal foundation of things that are eternally real.
Or, if you want temporary ideas for a temporary world, then build them on the interpretations, of the interpretations, of the philosophies of men, and see where that leaves you.
