Life is a Gift

In Lehi’s dream he was lost in a dark and dreary waste, but then he saw an angel that came and directed him where to go, then vanished.
It seems that the best people always leave us sooner than we’d hope. The great and precious souls, the salt of the earth, pure and wise individuals that we are just blessed to be with. We are with them for a time, we hold them dear and close, and then they are gone, like Angels visiting in the night.
It seems God deems it fit to put a price on precious things, including the lives of our friends and loved ones. Death is a hard thing to acknowledge, but it is a part of life. It’s the part of life that gives value to everything else, and puts life in proper perspective.
So Live Right Now, as if you might die tomorrow. Forgive right now. Repent right now. Love right now. Be here, now. Don’t withhold your love, your apologies, your forgiveness, your kindness or your grace. God needs people who know that life is a gift.
We are here to give it to each other.
